1. How can our fire department receive NFSC, Inc., fire safety materials, programs, & Firepup® Mascot Costumes?

Call us at 1-800-255-1082 or use our DEPARTMENT CONTACT FORM, and we’ll help you get started. The Firepup® Mascot Costume is only available through your local NFSC Fire Safety Coordinator.

2. How are NFSC, Inc., fire safety materials & programs paid for?

NFSC, Inc., materials are available exclusively through local fire departments who distribute locally at community programs, events, and schools. NFSC coordinates the entire program for fire departments. Best of all, this program will not impact department budgets.

3. Can I buy NFSC, Inc., fire safety materials & programs online?

In order to help customize fire safety programs for local departments, NFSC, Inc., materials are only available through local Fire Safety Coordinators and our National Headquarters. If you are interested in NFSC materials, please use our DEPARTMENT CONTACT FORM or call us at 1-800-255-1082.

4. Where can I find a materials price list?

Because our fire safety materials are constantly being updated, please contact your local Fire Safety Coordinator or the National Headquarters for the latest information.

5. Who is our local Fire Safety Coordinator?

If you’re not sure who your Fire Safety Coordinator is or how to reach them, please use our DEPARTMENT CONTACT FORM or call us at 1-800-255-1082.

6. Can NFSC, Inc., fire safety materials be purchased by the general public?

NFSC materials are exclusively available through local fire departments; although, you are encouraged to use our PUBLIC CONTACT FORM or call us at 1-800-255-1082 and submit a request.

7. Are NFSC, Inc., fire safety materials available for free to schools and community organizations like the Scouts?

If your local fire department has a program with NFSC, Inc., any materials they provide are free of charge. Contact your local fire department first to see if they have National Fire Safety Council’s Firepup® program. If they do not have our program, please use our PUBLIC CONTACT FORM or call us at 1-800-255-1082. You may also recommend they visit our website, NFSC.org, to learn about our service.

8. Can we get a copy of your W-9 for our charitable funding records?

Yes. We provide a link in our Financial Documents section. You can download a PDF of our NFSC W9 Form, request one using our PUBLIC CONTACT FORM, or call us at 1-800-255-1082 and we will send you a copy.

9. Does NFSC, Inc., post copies of their public financial records?

Yes! You can find our recent Form 990’s and our IRS Tax-Exempt Acceptance Letter on our Financial Documents section.

10. Does National Fire Safety Council, Inc., review and/or endorse products related to fire safety?

No. NFSC creates age appropriate fire safety materials and programs. We do not review or endorse other products or programs. If you are unsure about a products fire safety and/or effectiveness, you should contact your local fire department to see if they can provide you with the appropriate information. You may also find information about a product’s safety or effectiveness at the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website – USA.gov or https://www.usa.gov/consumer.

Public Charity Reporting

Our websites may offer content geared toward children under 13.
